Terms of Service
The rules of the house at MomentGlow — bookings, the salon, events and everything in between. They're short on purpose, and we actually operate by them.

Bookings & payment
The gist
A booking is a promise on both sides: you arrive, we're ready.
How a reservation actually works.
Rooms and tables are booked by phone or email and held for 48 hours pending confirmation. A booking becomes firm when we confirm it in writing — a one-line email from the desk counts. Rates are quoted in New Zealand dollars, include GST, and are honoured exactly as quoted at the time of booking.
Payment is taken at the venue, in person, by card or cash. We do not take deposits for standard room bookings; events and the Vault carry the deposits listed in their service pages on the services overview. If a rate ever looks wrong, the desk fixes it before you pay, not after.
Check-in
From 14:00. Early bags stored happily, keys issued when the room's ready.
Check-out
10:00 standard, 13:00 Sundays, 14:00 for suites. Later by arrangement.
ID
Photo ID for every guest at check-in, and again at the salon door. It's the licence, not our mood.

Cancelling & changes
Life happens. Here's the deal.
Genuine emergencies are handled like genuine emergencies. Ring the desk — we have never once argued with a hospital.

The gaming salon
House rules for the floor — short, and enforced kindly.
Who can play
Guests 18+ with photo ID, at the venue only. There is no online version of anything we do — if a site claims otherwise, it isn't us.
Money on the floor
Chips only at the tables, bought with cash or EFTPOS at the cage. Cards stay in your pocket; the ATM is outside for a reason.
Host responsibility
Our staff are trained to spot the wrong kind of night. Set limits at the desk, any time, and they're kept without argument.
If we say no
Management can refuse entry or end a session under the venue's licence. It's rare, it's documented, and it's not personal.

Private events & the conference hall.
Event bookings are confirmed with a NZ$200 deposit (deducted from the final invoice) and final numbers seven days out. The hall and the Copper Room are licensed spaces — the same 18+ rules apply when gaming tables are part of the night.
Damage beyond fair wear and tear is charged at cost, with photos and a conversation first. The full run sheet lives on the contacts page — the events desk will walk you through it.

Liability & conduct
The serious bit, kept human.
We carry the insurances a New Zealand hospitality business must carry, and we keep the place safe to a standard we'd accept for our own families. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986 where those laws apply.
Personal belongings remain your responsibility; in-room safes exist and the desk holds valuables at your risk. Gaming is entertainment, not income — the house edge is real, the odds are posted, and the only thing we promise the floor will do is deal fair cards.

The paperwork
Governing law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law. Disputes go to the courts of New Zealand, or better yet, to a conversation at the desk — most things end there.
Updates, and how you'll hear about them.
These terms are version 4.2, dated 1 August 2026. When they change, the new version goes up here with a fresh date, and the front desk will mention it at check-in if it affects your stay.
House rules v4.2, the gaming licence conditions and the privacy policy are all available in print at reception — just ask, no forms required.
